Welcome to the Escondido Renaissance Faire and "Shakespeare in the Park."Enter to visit with the inhabitants of the"Village of Falconbridge" and view scenes of one of San Diego's most beautiful Parks. The age of chivalry will be recreated among the wonders of nature in this idealic setting. Travel back to a distant place in time to share memories and the glories of the reign of Elizabeth the First.

The villagers will welcome visitors to the 16th century, as they interact with them and carry them back to the glories of merry olde England.
 
 
 
 
There will be a variety of activities during the weekend as the villagers celebrate the arrival of their Queen, "Elizabeth the First" and her Royal court. They plan to spend a lovely weekend in the countryside,perhaps seeking a suitor for Her Royal Highness. There will be continuous activities, including the presentations of several of Will Shakespeare's new plays, battle pageants, music in the streets, jugglers and hundreds of costumed re-enactors performing in this giant outdoor play.
 
 
 
 
Visitors will dine on a variety of foods and partake of tasty ales and fine wines as they spend a leisurely day amongst the oak shrouded village of Felicita.
 
 
 
 
A stroll through the merchant's area will find shoppers exploring the vast array of treasures and rare finds available to them at reasonable prices.

Felicita County Park, 742 Clarence Lane, Escondido
Location: Twenty-five miles northeast of San Diego. Take I-15 north to Via Rancho Parkway exit. Go west 1 mile to Felicita Road, then north to the park entrance.

Faire hours: 10:00 A.M. to DUSK both days.

Admission includes all entertainment.

Parking is a short distance away and the site has many picnic tables and shaded areas. The faire site is handicap accessible. It is level and mostly grass covered. Leashed pets are welcome. No horses or large animals.

An extensive children's' play area is adjacent to the Village site.

Alcoholic beverages may not be brought in the event; however, visitors may bring food and soft drinks. All backpacks and coolers are subject to search.

 
 
 
 

To add to the faire experience, visitors are encouraged
